# Basic list styling in Checkvist #

####Set list style for the whole list in the Options menu

- Press  <kbd>oo</kbd> to open that menu from the keyboard
- Arrow down to the List style options and use keyboard to select the one you want

#### Or use smart syntax to change list style only for a part of the list

- **[\*]** is the prefix for bullets
   - Have bullets as well
   - Sub-items

**[]** is the prefex for checkboxes

- task 1
   - sub-item gets its checkbox automatically
      - [ ] if its parent's got one
- [ ] task 2

1. **[1]**  is the prefix for numbers
   1. item
   1. another item
      1. sub-item
      1. another sub-item
