We collect the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with us via e-mail, aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit, and information volunteered by the consumer (such as survey information and/or site registrations). The information we collect is used to improve Checkvist and the quality of our service, and is not shared with or sold to other organizations.

Information gathering

When you register for Checkvist we ask for information such as your name, email address, username, and password.

We use collected information for the following general purposes: products and services provision, identification and authentication, services improvement, contact, and research.

Cookies

We use cookies to store visitors preferences, customize Web page content based on visitors' browser type or other information that the visitor sends. Cookies are required to use Checkvist.

If you have checked the "Remember me" option upon log in, the cookie will be stored during a 30 day period. After that it will expire to protect you against others accidentally accessing your account contents, and you will have to log in again.

If you haven't checked the "Remember me" option, cookies will be cleared when you close your browser and next time you will have to log in again.

Data storage

We use third party vendors and hosting partners to provide the necessary hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology required to run Checkvist. Although we own the code, databases, and all rights to the Checkvist application, you retain all rights to your data.

Advertising

We do not partner or have any relationship with any online advertising companies.

Disclosure

We reserve the right to disclose personally identifiable information under special circumstances, such as to comply with subpoenas or when your actions violate the Terms of Service.

Changes

We may periodically update this policy. In this case we will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the email address specified in your Checkvist account or by placing a prominent notice on our site.
